Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation (BPF)
BPF is a voluntary organisation working for the child development clinic, special school for the children with disability, distance training programme: both home and centre based programme for the out reach children, sheltered workshop, vocational training, inclusive education, evaluation, research, prevention and community based rehabilitation ( CBR), awareness and advocacy of children with disabilities. It also serves as a teacher-training centre for special teaching skills. It especially works for the rights and needs of children with disabilities in schools and communities, promoting inclusive approaches in access to the programming. Save the Children Sweden has been in partnership with BPF since 2001 to create a child friendly environment irrespective of differences between children and for equal rights to education for all children with and without disability.

Working area: “Inclusive Education within the Urban Community Based RehabilitationProgramme” project is a part of the total programme of Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation (BPF) and target group of the project are all children including children with and without disability, children from disadvantaged families including children who visit the clinic from different parts of Bangladesh located at Mirpur, Section-2, under Dhaka Metropolitan City close to a slum where the poorest of the poor live.
Coverage: Actual coverage of children from Jan. to June: Boys—296 and Girls---293. Actual coverage of adult from Jan to June---Male---1,898, Female---1,101.

Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID)
CSID, with a group of experienced and dedicated staff members is providing support and services to development organisations and communities with a view to facilitate activities directed towards improving the condition of people and children with disability in the country. It also implements different action research related to disability. Save the Children Sweden has been in partnership with CSID since 1999 to promote and disseminate issues and concerns on disability with special reference to children with disabilities and to work towards change in the situation of the street and working children with disabilities and address problems. The programme dimensions of CSID are: sensitisation and advocacy; research/ study on disability issues; disabilityiInformation networking; community-based facilitation/ support services with rights and participatory approaches for disabled people specially children and women; promoting inclusive education.
Project Name: Community- Based Rehabilitation of Street and Working Children with Disabilities.
Major Activities:
• Capacity building of Children's Advocacy group members
• Facilitating children’s advocacy activities (local and policy level)
• Referral for disability treatment, providing therapy services and aids- appliances support
• Facilitating inclusion of children with disabilities into mainstream development process (such as education, health, games/cultural and recreational activities, child development services, skill training and IGA, etc.)
• Ensuring parents & community participation in the process of development of children with disabilities.
• Organizational development/capacity building
Working Area: The target group of the project would be children with disabilities of all level and priority would be given to the street, working, and slum children with disabilities of Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Adabor, Mirpur, Shah Alibag and Pallabi Thana area within Dhaka Metropolitan City.
